Vegan Paan Custard

Gulkandis considered a royal and lavish delicacy in the India. Gulkand is an ideal ingredient to beat the summer heat, since it possess cooling properties. Betel leaves are good for oral hygiene, has anti cancer properties and helps controlling blood sugar levels.


Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 4



2 cups almond milk

1 cup water

2 tbsp agar agar powder

¼ tsp Vanilla Extract

2 tbsp gulkhand

2 ready sweet paan, pureed

Vegan Paan Custard DessertInstructions:

  1. Heat water in a pan.
  2. Add gulkhand and pureed paan. Boil for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in agar agar and boil for a minute till the granules disintegrate completely.
  4. Stir in almond milk and immediately start dividing into steel bowls.
  5. Chill for an hour
  6. Turn over and serve!
