Kappa Beef Curry Recipe | Kerala Tapioca Beef Curry

Kappa Beef Curry is a traditional Kerala combination of tender spiced beef and cooked tapioca, locally known as kappa. The beef is pressure-cooked with onion, chilli, coriander, ginger-garlic paste and curry leaves until soft, then gently combined with cooked tapioca.

Fresh curry leaves and virgin coconut oil are added at the end to give this Kerala kappa beef curry its characteristic South Indian aroma and flavour. The dish is also sometimes referred to in the video as kappa biryani, where the cooked tapioca and beef curry are mixed together into one hearty preparation.
